Join us at the P. J. Ahern Home on Sunday, May 20, from 2 - 4 p.m. for “Collecting Bird Data as a Citizen Scientist.” Participants will learn how to use current technology to collect and share data on local bird populations. Cost is $5 each or Free to TMS Members. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and be prepared for the outdoors. This event is family friendly and designed for all ages. Data collection will include using the Cornell Lab eBird and Merlin apps, both available for free through iTunes and Google Play. These apps allow users to share data and offers tools for bird identification. Participants are welcome to bring their own binoculars and digital devices to the event.
